Question:
I purchased 2 sets of the rackem RA 28 ladder racks and was thinking of purchasing the G3 Retractable ratchet straps to mount on the sides of the ladder racks. Just wanted to make sure that they will work or if there is another one you recommend. Thank you

If you are planning on using CargoBuckle G3 tie-downs like part # IMF18800 you want to make sure the mounting surface is big enough and capable of handling the capacity of the load you want to secure. The capacity of the Rack'em ladder rack is 400-lbs.
The Rack'em Fitz-All Enclosed Trailer Ladder Rack, part # RA-28 upright post size measures 1-inch x 2-inches. If you drill holes in the rack to hold the tie-down you will void the warranty for the racks.
You may have better luck mounting tie-down anchors like part # MMP536, and then use tie-downs that has a hook on each end like part # IMF103745-86.
