Can You Give Me The Dimensions Of The Draw-Tite Custom Fit Class V Hitch Receiver?

Question:

Good morning, this hitch will be installed on a 2017 Dodge single rear wheel cab chassis with service body. The service body will have a rear bumper. Can you advise the dimension measurement from the mounting bracket to the receiver tube On most hitches this dimension is usually 5 or 7 inches. This will verify that I have clearance with the rear step bumper. Thanks very much.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2-1/2", # DT45518, is for a 2017 Ram 2500 or 3500 but not the Cab and Chassis model. For that you would want the Draw-Tite # 41952 for 2500, 3500, and 5500. I contacted Cequent who is the parent company of Draw-Tite and they gave me the dimensions for this hitch. It is 7-1/2 inches drop from the bottom of the frame to the top of the receiver collar and 8 inches to the top of the inside of the receiver tube.

We do not have a confirmed fit for the 2017 Ram 5500 model yet, but we don't believe they are changing it.
