I certainly can provide a link to the installation instructions for Curt Trailer Hitch, # 13342, for your 2009 Mercedes ML350 below. We have estimated the difficulty of installing this hitch at a 5 out of 10. Difficulty is measured in terms of how long the installation should take for a novice installer. We estimate it should take about 50 minutes with all the proper tools and perhaps an assistant.

The installation does included some drilling (see step 7 in the instructions linked below). If you plan on doing some towing the recommended ball mount is # C45010, and you can use ball # 19260 (1-7/8 inch diameter), # 19247 (2 inch diameter), or # 63847 (2-5/16 inch diameter). For trailer wiring, it is recommended that you visit a local Mercedes dealer and have them install the vehicle specific harness. You will also need a pin and clip # PC3 to go with the ball mount.
