Will the Yakima Halfback 2 fit on a 2006 Toyota Prius?

The Yakima Halfback 2 is unfortunately not a fit for your 2006 Toyota Prius, but there are numerous options in both 2 bike and 3 bike carriers.

For a 2 bike carrier, I'd recommend the Thule Passage # TH910XT. This bike rack has the patented Fit Dial adjustment system and 6 attachment straps to hold securely to your Prius. It also has cushioned anti-sway cradles to prevent bike to bike contact as well as any contact with your vehicle.

For a 3 bike carrier, I'd recommend Yakima's HangOut 3 Bike Rack # Y02638. This rack has the quick-trigger hub and StableCradle anti-sway cradles to hold the bikes from rocking back and forth and holds the bikes away from your vehicle.

For trunk mounted racks, I suggest using a security strap like # TH533 or # Y02623 to secure your rack to your locked hatch. You also may want to secure your bikes to the rack with a cable lock like # 8122D. If you have Women's, Children's, or Alternative Frame Bikes, you may also consider using an adapter bar, like # 64005, to create a top rail for a more secure and level ride.
