Question:
Hi there, I am considering purchasing a 2004 Touareg V6, and would need to install a tow hitch. My question is, do you have wiring that could also control the electric brakes on a camper as well as the lights? Thanks!

If your 2004 Volkswagen Touareg came with a factory 7-way trailer connector, then the additional brake control harness that you will need must be obtained from a Volkswagen dealer. Unfortunately aftermarket brake controller manufacturers do not offer this harness. The harness will plug into a mating connector underneath the drivers side dash and splice to the wires coming from the brake controller.
If your vehicle does not come with any trailer wiring you would need to first need to start with a 4-way. For that you would need the part # 118509.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
For a hitch you would want the Curt hitch part # 13220 which is a confirmed fit for your 2004 model. I also attached an install video for you to check out as well.
