Winch Recommendation for Pulling Racecar Up Into Trailer

Question:
I am just finishing off fitting my 24foot enclosed race trailer with all the stuff that I think will make loading and unloading my racecar a little easier. I am in the market for a winch to help load and unload the car by myself, my wife hates helping me push the car on. A lot of the time I am at the track by myself for a test day prior to family coming up so it would be nice if winch had reverse on it also to help unload. The car weighs 2350 lbs and it is a normal enclosed race trailer. What size winch do I need and any other suggestions about mounting it/powering it. Right now I am leaning on mounting it, in the cabinets I installed in nose of trailer, so straight pull and also planning on buying stand alone battery to power it unless you think wiring to tow vehicle is a better solution. Thank you in advance. The more I have read the more I get confused haha.

The LT3000 winch, # SW1130220, is a good choice for pulling a 2,350 pound vehicle onto your trailer. With a rolling load (your vehicle) on a 17 degree slope (typical range for a trailer ramp) the winch will have a 7,825 pound rolling load capacity.
For trailer mounting these winches are mounted directly to the trailer frame with bolts that go through the mounting plate provided on the winch. If you would like the winch to be removable you could mount it to the SuperWinch Hitch Mounted Winch Plate with Handle and mount a receiver such as the 2 inch hitch Combo Bar, # E-9, to the trailer.
For wiring the winch to the vehicle you can use the # BDW20043, Winch Trailer Wiring Kit with quick disconnects, to use the vehicle battery to power the winch or use a separate battery on the trailer. I have provided links to a video of a winch being installed on a trailer and to some information on wiring and selecting an electric winch for you to review.
