What is Recommended Tire Pressure for Trailer Tires
Updated 08/30/2016 | Published 08/29/2016 >
Question:
I mounted Loadstar ST145 R 12 tires on my car tow dolly. Max weight 1520# per tire is not a problem. The question is proper tire pressure to use in the morning that is 50 *F and afternoon temp. Will be 98* F. Do I put 75 psi in the morning with the expectation of over 80 Psi in the tire later in the day?

When inflating trailer tires the recommendation is to inflate the tire to the max tire pressure listed on the sidewall when the tires are cold. So if your max pressure is 80 then that is what you would need to inflate to when cold. The increased pressure when hot is normal.
Ideally in your situation where the temperature range is so extreme you would inflate the tires while cold in the temperature that they would be cruising in.
If you don't inflate to max pressure the tires will not get their full capacity.
