Question:
I have a home built trailer with an A frame coupler. It works fine but there isnt any way to lock the coupler down. I was hoping to buy one to replace it but it takes a 2 5/16 ball. Not seeing any that would accommodate it. No name on the coupler, but a trigger type like this one would work as long as it was for the ball size mentioned.

Coupler repair kits are not always universal. In fact it is less likely that one designed for a certain coupler will fit a different coupler. Without knowing the brand and model coupler you have I cannot guarantee that any of the repair kits will work.
I recommend replacing the coupler with a new one such as # DM16680-52. It is a bolt-on A-frame coupler that takes a 2-5/16 inch ball. You can look it with a latch lock, # e98888.
