Question:
I am installing the OEM trailer hitch and 4-way OEM harness to my 2011 Toyota Highlander Hybris Limited. Also, I will be installing Curtis part # 57674 4-way flat to 7-way RV Blade and 4-way flat to connect to wireless trailer brake controller on the trailer Tekonsha Prodigy part # 90250. I will be pulling a RV travel trailer 3,500 pounds with 4 wheels and brakes. 1 Do I need to connect all 4 wires plus OEM 4-way harness to use the 7-way to operate the brake controller on the travel trailer to manage braking on the RV? 2 Do I need to connect any of the 4 wires plus OEM 4-way harness to use or controller reverse lockout on the trailer? Note: I prefer not to make any alterations to my hybrid only upgrades! 3 Do I need the reverse lights on the trailer to work?

Since you are using the Prodigy RF brake controller # TK94FR you will only need to have the 4-Way plugged into the adapter, the white wire grounds to the vehicle frame, and the black wire needs to have power because that is where the RF gets its power. The blue and yellow wires on the adapter, # C57674, will not be used for the RF.
But if your trailer has an electric reverse lock out then you would have to attach the yellow wire to a reverse light wire on the vehicle
The black wire is for the 12 volt circuit. You will also need about 25 need of wire, # 12-1-1 sold by the foot, and a 40 amp circuit breaker # PK54520. The wire will go from the adapter's black wire to the vehicle battery via the 40 amp circuit breaker.
When routing the wire be sure to avoid areas that may pinch or burn the wire such as suspension, exhaust, and engine components. The circuit breaker has 2 posts. The one marked AUX is where the wire you ran from the connector will attach. With leftover wire attach one end to the BAT post and the other to the positive battery terminal.
If you need wiring tools I recommend kit # HM51010 which has many of the items you will need to complete the installation. I have also included a help article on routing power wires that will help.
