Question:
whats the difference between TS74QR and TS59RR

Hey Fred. The TowSmart Plug-In Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 7-Blade item # TS74QR will need to be wired into factory wiring along with plugging into a 4-way connector.
The TowSmart ProClass Trailer Connector - 4-Way to 7-Way and 4-Way Flat - Vehicle End item # TS59RR would plug directly into a factory wiring harness. It attaches to what's called a USCAR connector that comes with every North American vehicle that has a factory tow package. You would simple plug the item # TS59RR connector into it. I attached a picture below so you can identify it.

Hey Fred, did you end up using the TowSmart connector that plugs into the USCAR harness or the one that needs to be wired in? Knowing which setup worked could help others figure out the best option for their tow package.
