Question:

Thanks for the recent info on charging my battery on my 2015 canyon using the running light circuit from my RV, however I also need to tap into the RV wiring to operate the rear lights on the towed vehicle, i have the kit for that but would I have to use 2 wires on the same pin on the plug to supply power to charge the battery as well as to operate the running lights on the towed canyon Thanks

For a way to charge the battery of your 2015 GMC Canyon and disconnect it from your truck for when it is being flat towed the Roadmaster Quick Disconnect part # RM-766 is a great option that would work well.

While this does use the running light circuit for charging the battery it only taps into it which means that you can still access use regular tow bar lighting like the # RM-15267. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.
