Hello, I will be installing the Draw-Tite Sportframe hitch onto my 2016 Ford Mustang and was wondering if the Kuat Sherpa 2 bike platform rack will work fine with this vehicle. Is there enough clearance between rack and bumper with both up and lowered positions? Thank you.

Good news! The Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24928, which is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Mustang, is going to give you a Class I 1-1/4 receiver opening that will be compatible with the Kuat 1-1/4 platform racks. We know that this hitch needs 5-1/2 inches for bumper clearance when choosing a bike rack.

The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-bike platform rack for 1-1/4 hitches # SH12G (Gray) # SH12P (Pearl) # SH12B (Black) will be compatible with your 2016 Ford Mustang. These racks when folded up will have 9 inches of clearance from the center of the pin hole to the closest part of the rack and 13 inches of clearance when folded down so they would be a great fit for your Mustang.

If you have any bikes with 20 inch wheels you will need the adapter # PN2024 to have them mount properly.
