Where Does Blue Wire of 7-Way Run to Power Trailer Brakes

I have installed the 7 blade plug and the lights function properly. I have been told that my trailer connection will require power to the plug for the brakes to function. Do I connect the blue wire to the car battery with the black wire?

If you are looking for a way to power the trailer brakes you would not run the blue wire of the 7-way to the positive post of your battery.

Instead you would run that wire up to the blue wire of a brake controller like the part # 90885 that you referenced. I attached a diagram that shows how a brake controller wires to a 7-way.

For wire to power the controller and wire up the output circuit we have the part # 10-1-1 which is 10 gauge wire sold by the foot.

I am purchasing anCurt echo controller...Your instructions say i need a functioning 7 pin. My car only has a 4 flat...If i buy the adapter, i still don't see how to connect the brake wire or the power wire thanks
