Question:
I have a 2012 Heartland Northtrail travel trailer. It only has one step and I am hoping to put a 3-step on it but the mounting base that is on the trailer measures 26inch wide. Do you have anything that would work with that width?

Expert Reply:
Is the overall width of the base 26 inches or is that the center to center distance between the mounting holes? Because if it is the mounting hole distance then steps # LC432687 will fit but the overall width is 27-1/2 inches.
The other issue is that when you add additional steps it makes them closer to the ground when stowed. This reduces ground clearance and can result in loss of steps.
An alternative is to use a portable step such as # S-150 that you can keep in the RV/trailer and use it as needed. I have included a link to a video review of this step for you.
