Since you have a Roadmaster tow bar, use the base plate kit # RM-523160-4 which is compatible with all their tow bars. The Falcon 2 tow bar, # RM-520 would be an excellent choice, this towbar also self centers and locks. Safety cables are sold separately as # RM-643.

You'd need a few other items in order to flat tow the vehicle.

For a wiring solution, I like the # RM-15247 diode kit. This allows a permanent installation and includes the wiring umbilical to connect the Equinox and the RV.

For a supplemental braking system, I like the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251. The install is more involved than some other systems but after that you just flip a switch to activate it when you're ready to tow.

The owners manual states that the Equinox is capable of being flat towed, but there is a specific procedure that would need to be followed, so be sure to read that portion of the manual carefully. To flat tow the vehicle, there is a fuse that needs to be pulled but using a # RM76511 fuse bypass will allow you to disable the fuse with the flick of a switch rather than needing to remove the fuse each time.

For safety, the tow bar needs to be within 3 inches of level. The Blue Ox base plate has a tab height of 15.5 inches above the ground when installed. The Roadmaster base plate is 18 inches above the ground. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I'll link you to an FAQ article that explains all this in more detail.

I've also linked you to some install videos that you might find helpful, and lots of FAQ articles with additional information about flat towing a vehicle.
