You need to splice into your Acadia's wiring to allow you to flat to it. I recommend using part # RM-154. Unfortunately, the install process is more detailed and not as easy as a plug in option but once it's installed you'll be good to go. If you prefer you could go with a magnetic light kit, like part # TL21RK, to avoid splicing. The downside to the magnetic kits if you need to set them up everytime you tow.

The Acadia is known to drain the battery while towing. To prevent this, you will want cut power to the Ignition by pulling the IGN fuse from the underhood fuse block. To make this easier, I recommend using the Roadmaster FuseMaster Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles # RM-76517. A video with an example of an installation of this fuse bypass on an Equinox is linked for you. You can also use a charge wire, # 10-1-1, from the positive terminal on the vehicle battery to a trailer connector on the front of your Acadia to provide a maintenance charge from the motorhome for the battery while towing.

To provide you with a trailer connector that will allow you to charge the battery, I like the Blue Ox 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled Wiring Extension # BX88206. The 4-way connector that comes with the wiring harness would be cut off and spliced by function to the 6-way connector included in the Blue Ox kit, and the charge wire would be connected to the 6-way.

Other parts you will need to flat tow your Acadia are:

Base plate kit, like the Blue Ox # BX1675
Tow bar, like the Blue Ox Alpha # BX7380
Supplemental braking system, like the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251

It is important to check your owner's manual for the steps required to put your vehicle in a mode where it can be flat towed. When I checked the owner's manual for your vehicle, the steps were outlined nicely in the Towing section of the manual. It is important to note that the manual instructs that the vehicle should not be towed at speeds greater than 65 mph.
