Should Install Bolts of the Swagman XTC2 Be Difficult to Thread In

Question:

Hello. A friend picked up a Swagman XTC2 and were trying to put it together. The 2 hex screws with the blue seem too hard to screw in. Almost looks like they may be beginning to tear up the threads when we try to force them in. I thought you might have some advice for us. Thanks!!

The screws on the XTC2 on the bottom of the rack should not be so difficult to thread in that it feels like you are tearing something up. Hopefully it's not too late, but you don't want to crossthread those bolts so back them off and try lining up the rack and screws better so that everything threads easier.

Customers of ours have said that having a second set of hands can help greatly to stabilize the rack while the bolts are being threaded in.
