Question:

adapter kit for installing my standard base rails for my reese fifth wheel hitch truck is 2005 hd 2500 duramax what kit do I need ?

Sounds like you have a set of Reese fifth wheel rails and are looking for brackets to allow them to be installed in the bed of your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 with a short bed.

For that I would recommend a custom install kit as it will minimize drilling and install time when compared to a universal kit. For that you would want the part # RP50064. This also comes in a kit with rails if you wanted too, part # RP50064-58.

Since the hardware that secures the rails to the brackets is considered one time use you would also need to replace the hardware as well with part # 58164.
