Replacement Hardware Kit for Draw-Tite and Reese Universal Fifth Wheel Installation Kit (RP30035, 30035)

  • For use if you're moving your Draw-Tite or Reese fifth wheel rails from one truck to another and your rails and mounting brackets are still good
    • Hardware is meant for one time use and should be replaced if base rails are moved to a different vehicle
  • This is very similar to the 6007 (or RP30439) kit, but this kit does not include the brackets--only the hardware.

Video Transcript for An In-Depth Look at the Replacement Hardware Kit for Draw-Tite and Reese Fifth Wheel Rails

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement hardware kit for the Draw-Tite and Reese Universal Fifth Wheel Rails. Now, this replacement hardware kit is for that Draw-Tite and Reese Universal Fifth Wheel base rails and installation kit. That kit we do sell separate on our website. It goes by part number RP30035.

And just to show you that kit, what I'm talking about is, if you notice that has this hardware in it, but you'll also see it includes the base rails and the mounting brackets. So, this kit here with just the hardware is for use if you're gonna move the Draw-Tite and Reese Universal Fifth Wheel Rails from one truck to another, and your rails and mounting brackets are still good to be used. Now, the hardware is meant for one time use only and should be replaced if the base rails are moved to a different vehicle. Now, this kit here is very similar to the kit number RP30439 kit, but this kit does not include the universal mounting brackets, only just the hardware. Does come with a nice set of instructions that'll describe how it all goes together.

But that should do it for the review on this replacement hardware kit for the Draw-Tite and Reese Universal Fifth Wheel Rails.

This hardware was exactly what I needed to install my rails. I would suggest getting the kit with the L-bracket just to have extras.

by:

Just what I needed!

The universal 5th wheel hitch hardware installation kit was delivered promptly and simplified the installation tremendously. The sales staff was very helpful. Great doing business with you.

by:

The directions and the replacement hardware worked great to install my
5th wheel hitch.

by:

Not clear on the instructions. I know it is a universal kit. We ended up making it work. We also ended up 4 lock washers short. Had to go buy them and then take the nuts back off and reinstall. Ended up taking an extra morning.

No other problems.

  • Fifth Wheel Rail Kit Recommendation for 2014 Dodge Ram 1500
A rail kit from a 2500 series Ram truck will not fit a 1500 regardless of the year so you'll need an all new kit for your 2014 Ram 1500. For that you'd want a custom install kit as they install much quicker and easier than universal style kits. For that the Reese rail kit part # RP50142-58 would be a great option.

  • Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit Recommendation for Reese Rails in 2018 GMC Sierra 2500
For your 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 we have custom fifth wheel rail kits like the part # RP50066-58 as a confirmed fit that install without drilling. If you have a set of Reese fifth wheel rails currently all you'd need is the bracket kit part # RP50066 for that. You'll need new hardware for attaching the rails to the brackets. For that you'd want the part # 58164 and you'd be set.

  • Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit Recommendation to Fit 2017 Ram 1500 6-1/2 ft Bed
For your 2017 Ram 1500 6-1/2 foot bed we have the Reese fifth wheel bracket kit part # RP50142 which is a custom fit and comes with the brackets needed to install the rails you have if they happen to be Reese. Since we don't recommend mixing rail and bracket manufacturers we can't recommend this bracket for a different brand of rail. You'll need new hardware to attach the rails to the brackets as well with part # 58164.

  • Will the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit # RP50082 Work with Husky 5th Wheel Hitch and Rails
The Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, item # RP50082, does not come with the hardware to attach the above bed rails in the bed of your Ford Super duty. The hardware to attach the rails is included in the rail kit, or it can be purchased separately, item # RP58430. Husky fifth-wheel rails are not manufactured by Reese and we do not recommend mixing the vehicle install kit hardware. If your existing rails are Reese, Draw-Tite or Hidden Hitch rails and...

  • Moving 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Install Kit from a 2000 Ford F-250 to a 2012 Ram 2500 Short Bed
It sounds like the installation kit is the Reese universal kit # RP30035. To use it on your 2012 Ram 2500 short bed you would need to add bracket # RP58186. You will also need new hardware # 58164 since the bolts are not meant to be used more than once. You can reuse the other brackets and the rails. Installation is not all that difficult, just time consuming. To see if this is something you want to tackle yourself I have included links to the installation instructions to the right. I...

  • Fifth Wheel Rail Bracket Kit Recommendation for 2015 GMC Sierra 3500
Since you have the Reese Slider Hitch part # RP30051 and a set of Reese above bed rails already all you need is the correct bracket kit for the rails. For that you'd want the part # RP50066 and then also the hardware kit part # 58164 as well since the hardware for attaching the rails to the brackets is considered one time use.

  • Hardware Kit Recommendation for Installing Reese Fifth Wheel Rails in a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
Sounds like you have a set of Reese fifth wheel rails and are looking for brackets to allow them to be installed in the bed of your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 with a short bed. For that I would recommend a custom install kit as it will minimize drilling and install time when compared to a universal kit. For that you would want the part # RP50064. This also comes in a kit with rails if you wanted too, part # RP50064-58. Since the hardware that secures the rails to the brackets is considered...

If you have a set of Reese rails all you would need is the correct bracket kit for your 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500 like part # RP50066. This would also require new rail hardware part # 58164. If you wanted to get new rails, hardware, and brackets you would instead just need part # RP50066-58. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

If you need hardware to install these kits you will need the Replacement Hardware Kit # 58164, and the parts bag for the 58186 brackets, item # 110452. • Replacement Hardware for 5th Wheel Base Rails Used with RBW Lil Rocker Hitch
Replacing the hardware for your fifth-wheel base rails is definitely a good idea. We do have a large selection of hardware available, but I recommend checking to see if you can find the manufacturer of your current rails as we don't recommend mixing brand hardware. We have found that hardware may not line up correctly with rails that are from a different manufacturer. If you happen to have the Reese Universal 10 Bolt Base Rails # RP30035 that you were looking at, then you can use the...

You can certainly use your current hitch in your new truck, although you will no longer need the sliding function. You can simply use the hitch as it is, being sure to keep the hitch slid all the way forward in the bed. If you could provide the part or model number of your hitch, I would be happy to recommend stationary legs that could be used to replace the slider if you wanted to go that route. Replacing the slider with legs is purely optional, the hitch will function just fine if you...

Do you know what brand rails you have? We can't recommend mixing rail and bracket manufacturers but if you have the very popular brand Reese then the hardware kit you would need is the part # RP50084. If you can't find the brand the safest recommendation I could make then would be the part # RP50084-58 which includes new rails as well. If you do go with just the bracket kit you will also need the hardware kit part # 58164 to attach the rails to the brackets.

  • 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit for a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 Long Bed and Reese Fixed Hitch
All of the custom fit 5th wheel installation kits that will fit a fixed 5th wheel trailer hitch and your 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 long bed are actually a certain kind of gooseneck hitch that accept Companion-style 5th wheel hitches. All other options will require some drilling into the truck frame for installation. Based on this I recommend going with the most cost effective option which is the Reese Universal kit # RP30035. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
