Does the Curt Class I Hitch for 2013 Ford Focus Have Weld Stop Built into the Hitch Opening
Published 05/03/2016 >
Question:
Hello, I am just wondering if there is a backstop on the Curt 11158 receiver? If there is, how many inches from the mounting hole is it? I have a 2013 Ford Focus Hatchback. Thanks!

Actually the Curt Class I hitches do not have the weld stop in the hitch tubes to prevent Class II only accessories from being used. It's not a well-known feature we advertise as the absence of it does not mean you can use a Class II only accessory.
If you are wanting to use a Class II only accessory in this hitch I can't recommend it, but I can say that the hitch does not have the weld stop.
