I have a 2018 Ford Focus that I want to install a trailer hitch on so that I can carry a bike rack down the road, what should I get?

For your 2018 Ford Focus the trailer hitch I recommend is the Curt part # C11158 for if you have a Sedan, Hatchback S, SE, or Titanium. This hitch has a concealed crosstube which makes them much less visible than most hitches. I attached an install video link and picture to this page for you to check out as well.
For a bike rack I really like the Saris SuperClamp EX part # SA4025F.
This is a platform bike rack that only touches the bike at the tires and only weighs 35 lbs.The biggest drawback to platform bike racks has always been the weight of them, but with this rack you get the best of both worlds. The preferred attachment style with the lighter weight.
If you wanted something more economically priced the Hollywood Racks platform bike rack # HR200Z is the best lower priced option. It grabs the bikes at the frame and is a bit heavier but it's very solid and the most stable rack in the hitch in this price range.
