Question:

Hello, I have a 2009 kz inferno 4012T. Dry weight around 13,200. The venture motor Part # M-9000-pk 30amp is dead. I believe that your replacement part number is lc142178. What is the weight rating on this unit? I am looking to go with the highest rated motor that will work with my landing gear. I understand that the lending gear is rated as well but I can not locate a name on the legs or unit, but I am presuming that it is the cheaper standard 5000lbs set. I would just like to have a motor that can handle more stress than the smaller unit. I am also wanting to replace the gear box with the aluminium one. I believe that the lg179015 is the correct one, but I am not sure. Can you advise. Thanks.

To replace your existing Venture motor, the Lippert Components Venture 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Motor # LC142178 is the correct replacement part for you. For an aluminum gear box, you are correct that you can use part # LG-179015.

The # LC142178 motor does not have a weight rating. I spoke with my contact at Lippert and she confirmed that landing gear motors do not have weight ratings, but the system is limited by the overall system weight capacity.
