Question:
I have a trailer that I purchased and I am doing some repairs I bought a set of the Kodiak stainless brakes but my actuator has issues with the master cylinder and I am not sure it is even the right one for the Kodiak brakes. The actuator is a titan 10,000 lb down Zink. Will the # T4749501042 with a solenoid valve work for this? are they universal fit or would I be best to order a whole new Actuator?

For your brake actuator to be compatible with your Kodiak stainless steel brakes, the actuator will need to be a disc brake actuator. Kodiak only makes disc brakes. If your actuator is a drum brake actuator, not a disc brake actuator, it will not be compatible with the Kodiak disc brakes. If your Titan actuator is made for disc brakes, it will work well with your Kodiak brakes.
The Replacement Master Cylinder Assembly # T4749501042 is only compatible with Titan Model 10 and Model 20 disc brake actuators. The replacement master cylinder is not a universal fit part, they are only compatible with certain models and are different for disc and drum brakes.
The information about your actuator should be stamped somewhere on the top of the actuator housing. It will let you know if the actuator is for disc or drum brakes and the actuator's model number.
If you find you need a new actuator to be compatible with your disc brakes, I recommend the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator with Electric Lockout for Disc Brakes # T4750820. This actuator is a Model 10 and has a towing capacity of 12,500 pounds with a maximum tongue weight of 1,250 pounds. The electric reverse lockout allows you to back up your trailer without activating the brakes and without having to manually activate the reverse lockout. Titan's # T4750820 actuator is designed to bolt only a 3 inch wide channel tongue. The installation instructions are linked for you.
