Can Superwinch Winch 2 Go 4000 SW1140232 Be Powered by Small Batteries

Question:

Hello, I have a Superwinch 2 goinch and if I am in the area with no vehicle near by. Could I use a portable battery as a power source? If so, what size battery would work? Would a motorcycle battery, etc.?

The Superwinch Winch 2 Go 4000 SR, part # SW1140232, is designed fto operate with power input from the batteries typically found in lawn tractors, ATVs, UTVs or motorcycles.

Naturally, the higher the battery capacity the more running time. According to my contact at Superwinch a jump box would give you enough power for single full-length pull. A fully charged 230-Ah motorcycle battery would do about the same.
