Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 Short Bed

We have a 2013 dodge larime longhorn with a short box. Any advice on what kind of hitch and approx cost? We have a 29 foot 5th wheel we need to pull. Thank you!

Since you have a short bed truck you are going to need a slider hitch to allow you to make tight turns. Short bed trucks don't have the clearance needed for a fifth wheel trailer to make a tight turn so a slider hitch allows the hitch to move back several inches when at slow speeds to give the needed clearance. Since this can be somewhat of a hassle every time you get to a parking lot I would recommend an auto-slider like the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550034.
This hitch will automatically slide back as you make tight turns so it would be a great option that I would recommend for you.
Then for a rail kit you would want the Demco custom rail kit part # DM8552015-71 that has been custom fit for your 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed. This will install in less time than a universal kit and will minimize drilling.
