Will Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Work with 2011 Ford F-350 Integrated Brake Controller

Question:
Just purchased a large marine trailer with the dexter 1600 psi unit. My 2011 Ford F-350 allows we to choose electric or electric over hydro. And it responds to my breaking very slow . If I turn the power up its slow then grabs very hard . Is this the controller not working properly ?

The Dexter part # K71-651 has been confirmed as a fit for all model years of Ford integrated controllers.
What you described sounds like the controller not being setup properly. Since the actuator is technically working and is responding to changes on the controller that makes me think that the actuator is just doing what it is told to.
Is there a second setting on the controller that is either sensitivity or ramp-up speed? It sounds the controller just needs to be set up properly.
When setting the controller up for the first time, it is best to follow the guidelines as laid out in the instructions. In your case it should be in the owners manual.
