Question:
This is directed to Jeffrey L.Thanks Jeffrey for answering back on my previous question, the next question I have is the anode rod length. My 6gal.Atwood H.W.heater has the room inside to support a 9 1/2inch long anode rod measuring from the drain plug. You have in stock these particular sizes of 3/4x 9 1/2inch but for Surburban Mor Flo brands.Would this size be good to use rather than the shorter 4 1/2inch size, even though it could fit Atwood W.H.? Thanks a bunch!

I called my contact at CAMCO and asked about the Water Heater Anode Rod, part # CAM11563.
They said you would want to make sure you can use an aluminum anode rod. The # CAM11553 anode rod I recommended in your earlier question is magnesium and has 1/2 inch NPT threads. The description for the # CAM11563 states it has 3/4 inch NPT threads, and is designed for Suburban (Mor-Flo) heaters. This will not fit in your Atwood water heater as the threads are too big.
