Yes, unfortunately! If some rapscallion happened to close the Lend-a-Hand Extra Large Folding Grab Handle for RVs # AM-533 over your door while you were still inside, you'd effectively be trapped.

You can see at the 0:50 mark in the video attached that the handle would need to be lifted and swung away from the door to free you from the trailer. This is in-place more so for a safety feature, that way when you're traveling down the road the grab handle isn't able to move around freely potentially damaging the handle/door.
