On some years and models of Chevy and GMC vehicles there is a tow package wire bundle but not a plug-in location for a brake controller. Your 2013 Chevy Suburban is a model that has this wire bundle. It is located up under the dash, to the left of the steering column, held together with a white tag.
If you pull that bundle down you can hardwire the P3 brake controller # 90195 directly to the tow package wiring.
The connections are as follows:
GM red/black to brake controller black (12 volt power)
GM white to controller white (ground)
GM light blue/white to controller red (input from brake switch)
GM dark blue to controller blue (output to trailer brakes)
If you see an orange wire it will not be used. There may also be some connections that will need to be made under the hood to make everything fully functional. I have included a link to a help article that explains this installation for you. I have also linked a video that will help.
If your Suburban does not have a factory 7-Way trailer connector you can add one using # 30955.
