Can you, tell me. The hitch I need for my 2010 dodge ram short bed. I don`t want 5th. hitch. want regular towing hitch. like the old reese hitches. Thank you for your time.

Curt Manufacturing offers a few different high quality, made in America hitches for your 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. The right hitch for you will depend on what you'll be towing and how much it weighs.

If a 6000 lb towing/ 600 lb tongue weight (maximum amount of weight that can safely be suspended from the hitch) will work for you, you can't go wrong with the Curt Class III hitch, part # 13333.

For a higher capacity, 10000 lbs towing/1000 lbs tongue weight, go with the Curt Class IV, part # 14374. There's also a Class V hitch available, part # C15572 that has a 15000 lb towing/ 1500 lb tongue weight capacity.

Keep in mind, even though a hitch might have a high towing capacity, you'll still be limited by the actual vehicle manufacturer's stated towing capacity if it's less than the capacity of the hitch.
