Question:
I am looking into the Curt C24VV trailer brake. We are looking into buying our first trailer from a friend. I am not sure of weight but believe its 24ft when the tent trailer is up. I will be pulling it with an 06 Nissan titan. Will this brake be adequet as we would only use it a couple times a year.

The Curt Venturer part # C74VV would have plenty of braking power to activate the brakes on the tent trailer you are purchasing. This controller can activate up to 3 brake axles so it would be more than powerful enough.
I do have a better option for you though. The controller you referenced is a time-delayed controller. Which means that it applies a preset amount of braking power at a preset speed every time you touch the brakes. That can work out decently, but in reality rarely do people apply the brakes the same way two times in a row. So a better option is a proportional controller that can sense the amount of braking power the tow vehicle is applying and then apply a proportional amount of trailer braking.
For that the TriFlex part # C24VV would be what I would recommend. All you would need is the install harness part # C51382 to install this controller in your 2006 Nissan Titan.
