Updated 12/31/2015 | Published 12/30/2015

Question:

Can anyone assist me on finding out whats wrong with my 7way pigtail on my truck. I ran new trailer lights and they arent working so I tested everything and noticed I have no power to the 7way except 1 terminal which is hot..,as I touched the terminals on the 7way to check for taillights, blinkers, and stoplights all I get is a solid hot.., nothing else.!!! Hope this explains enough to you to help me figure this thing out. Thanks.

Sounds like only the 12 volt accessory circuit is active on the 7-way of your 2011 Nissan Titan. Most likely there are blown fuses on your truck that need to be replaced.

The fuses are located in a power distribution box under the hood at the rear of the drivers side of the 2011 Nissan Titan. Once the fuse box is located check the legend on the lid to determine the correct fuse to check.

The new trailer wiring may have shorted out the fuses so you may want to check the new wiring to see if there are any obvious signs of a short like exposed wire.
