Factory Brake Controller Port Location on 2017 Nissan Titan

Where does it plug into under dash?

Helpful Expert Reply:

To install the Draw-Tite Activator Trailer Brake Controller # 5504 that you referenced to your 2017 Nissan Titan, all you will need is the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3050-P if the truck is equipped with the factory 7-Way. One end of the harness will plug into the brake controller itself, while the other end will connect directly to the factory port on your Nissan Titan.

The factory brake controller port should be located behind the dash, on the left hand side by the emergency brake pedal. You will need to remove dash panel in order to pull out the connector, which should be white and labeled "Electric Brake Connector".

Once this connection is made, the controller is installed and you are ready to go! I have attached an installation video on the 2015 Titan using a different brake controller, however the process will be very similar to your application.

Does the # 3050-P harness physically match up for connection but isn't working to power the brake controller, or are the plugs themselves incompatible? I reached out to my contact at Tekonsha just to verify that it is a fit, and while our and their site isn't updated for the 2018-2019 Titan, he did verify that it's the right harness and it should work. Let me know what specific issue you're having and we can go from there!
