Looking for a trailer hitch for light towing with my 2016 Kia Sorento. Dealer said it has factory tow package. Can you help me?

Yes, I can tell you what you will need to tow with your 2016 Kia Sorento with the factory tow package. First, for a trailer hitch, a popular option is Curt hitch # C13195. This hitch is rated for 5,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 750 pounds tongue weight but you are limited to the towing capacity of the vehicle expressed in the owner's manual.

For a trailer wiring harness you can use # HM11143965 which was designed for models with the factory tow package. This harness provides a 4-Way flat connector at the back of the vehicle. I have linked videos showing example installations of the hitch and wiring for you.

Since you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
