I am concerned about the weight of the Demco Hijacker. If it can be taken apart for easier installation and removal from the truck bed, then can one person do it. Can it be separated into two pieces and approximately how much would each of those two pieces weigh?

The head of the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550024 weighs 65 lbs. The total weight of the hitch with the head would be 289 lbs.
You would need two people to get this hitch in and out.
