Relay Recommendation for a Nissan Titan to Activate Running Lights Circuit on Trailer Wiring
Updated 10/12/2015 | Published 10/11/2015 >
Question:
I purchased a trailer hitch and hitch 4 pin harness connector from you a while back. With the connector, I was supplied 1 relay. My trailer turn signals and brake lights work. However, my running lights and side lights do not work. My question is do I need a 2nd relay to make my running lights work? All my fuses have been checked out and are fine. Any advise would be helpful. My 2014 Nissan titan was prewired with plug for the trailer connector. Thanks.

On some Nissan vehicles an additional relay is needed next to the steering column under the dash. It will be a small blue relay. You can obtain the relay from the Curt Relay Kit, # C57000.
You will see three relay slots to the left of the steering column and one may be missing a blue relay. I have attached a photo showing you what it will look like.
