Hanger Spacing Recommendation for a Tandem Axle Trailer with 25-1/8 inch Long Leaf Springs

Question:
I am putting new 5200 lb axles on a home built trailer and need to verify the hanger spacing for my set up. Springs are 25 1/8 actually they measure 25, but I am assuming that is because they are new and there is no load on them. Redline is 5 3/4 and shackles are 2 1/4 on center. Using spring length of 25 1/8 plus one half the equalizer 2 7/8 and one inch for the shackle links, I end up with a spacing of 29 1/8. Does this sound reasonable? My only concern is that my shackles seem shorter than most that I have seen and wonder how that might affect the spacing. I am tack welding the hangers to the axle carriage system, so I can verify spacing and correct if needed. I currently have a spacing of 28 1/2 and the shackles seem too vertical even with no load on the axles. I have attached a photo of my current set up I hope! so you can see what 28 1/2 looks like. Thanks for your assistance.

For a 25-1/4 inch long spring like the part # e54SR you would want to go with 29-1/2 inches from the front to the center hanger and also 29-1/2 inches between the center and rear hanger.
For a hanger kit we often recommend the part # APT3 which uses 2-5/8 inch long shackles that are pretty close to the length of your shackles.
