Weight Capacity of Axle Based on Spindle Dimensions

Question:

axle rating. Can you tell what a hub is rated for by the size of the bearings,spindle? I believe inner is 1 3/8 and outer is 1 1/16

I can give you a pretty good idea based on the dimensions of the spindle. Based on the dimensions you listed you have an 84 spindle which would mean you have between a 2,000 and 3,500 lb axle.

If the hub is a 6 lug hub then it would be 3,500 most likely. Otherwise if 5 lug then it could fall anywhere between 2,000 and 3,500.
