Snow Chain Recommendation for a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon
Published 09/04/2015 >
Question:
I have a 2015 Jeep Rubicon with 255 75 17 Tires. I want to purchase chains that I can use to get out of my lodge on the top of a mountain in West Virginia when the snow gets too crazy. Got stuck last year with a Sahara I had and upgraded to the Rubicon. Figured chains would be necessary as well. Also, do I need one pair or two?

For your 2015 Jeep Rubicon with 255/75-17 tires I would recommend the part # TC2526 for chains. These have a diamond pattern that will give you excellent traction for acceleration, braking, and turning. They also install pretty easily too.
Since you said the snow gets pretty crazy I would recommend you go with 2 sets of chains for all four wheels of your Jeep. This will be the best possible setup so that you wouldn't have to worry about getting stranded. You can sometimes get by with just one set of chains on the drive wheels of a vehicle, but having them on all 4 wheels will give better traction. I attached an install video for these chains for you to check out as well.
Lastly, you will need to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine if there are any restrictions on snow chain use.
