Replacement Pads Recommendation for a Thule Hullavator

Question:

Hello there: I have a 5 yr old,or so, Thule Hullavator and need the covers for the pads on both the upper and lower brackets 4 all together. The pads themselves are ok but the covers are worn out. I measure the lower arms as about 9 1/2inch -10inch and the uppers as about 6 1/2inch - 7. This is for a side loading kayak hullavator. Do you suppose the 6inch and 9inch pads you sell are going to work? Also - on the brackets themselves, the rubber portion that has large screws to secure it are soft from the heat and leave horrible dark gray streaks on my $4000 kayak. Not appreciated. I dont imagine these can be replaced and replacing the whole arminch X 4 would be 1/2 the cost of a new Hullavator. Cover it with some nice looking Duct Tape and call it a day??

The correct replacement pads for your Thule Hullavator are the part # 853-5540 for the 6 inch pad and part # 853-5540-03 for the 9 inch pad.

The rubber pad that is leaving marks on your kayak is not replaceable. But you could put duct tape over them for the time being to prevent the marking.
