Recommended Extension Adapters For Thule Spare Me Pro Bike Carrier For Larger Tire
Question:
Hi, Ive been using my Thule Spare Me 963 Bike carrier for years. But I recently upgraded to 33x12.50R15 tires. Now the standard hardware wont accommodate for this size spare. Will this kit solve my problem? Thank you for your expert advice in advance.

For the female side of the carrier you would need the Replacement Long Mounting Bracket, part # 752-1425-002. This slides over the shank of the mounting plate and has an overall length of 5-1/2 inches from plate end to the end of the tube.
The Replacement Long Standoff Extension Adapter, part # 852-3305-001 is designed for the male side of the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH963PRO.

part # 852-3305-001 This is the square peg, round hole question. If the female side is a square, but the male part is 6 sided, how do they work together? I also have been using the Thule spare me and upgraded to bigger tires. I’m measure that I need about 2+ inches just for the parts to meet, let alone overlap. How do these parts work together?
