Trailer Hitch for a 2013 Lance 1885 Travel Trailer

Question:

what would you recommend as a hitch on the back of a 2013 lance travel trailer model 1885. I would like to tow a 2005 18 foot tracker avalanche bass boat. the total boat weight is about 2500 lbs.

We have several frame mounted hitches that could work. The Curt hitch # 13703 is the most versatile in terms of what it can fit and how it can install. It fits frame widths for 22 inches to 72 inches wide. Frame width is measured from the outside of one frame rail to the outside of the other frame rail.

This hitch also fits box frames, C-channel frames, and I-beam frames. And it can be bolted or welded on (welding should be performed by a qualified professional welder). I have linked a the instructions and a video showing an example installation for you.

Also towing a trailer behind another trailer can be illegal depending on where you live or where you will be traveling. Be sure to check the laws in your state and where you plan to go to determine the legality.
