Question:
I am considering Titan galphorite free backing drum brakes for my boat trailer. Is this the right choice for a boat trailer? I also have a reverse lockout actuator. Can I still take advantage of the free backing feature? If these are not the best choice for a boat trailer, what would you recommend?

Expert Reply:
Free backing brake assemblies can be used on a trailer that has a reverse lockout. If it's a manual lockout they would allow you to back your trailer up at any given moment without having to get out and activate the lockout.
As long as your hub/drums are 10 by 2-1/4 the part # T4423400 for the right hand side and part # T4423500 for the left hand side would be a great choice.
