Question:
I have a problem with the grease caps not fitting into the hubs that I got from you. I am a retired toolmaker and I know how to measure stuff. There is .010-.012inch interference. Dexter hubs84545BX Thanks

Thank you for your recent purchase of a pair of Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly Kits # 84545BX. This kit includes a 1.986-inch outer diameter grease cap that is intended to make for a snug fit in the bore of the hub. Often it is easiest to use a small block of wood or a grease cap driver tool like # 290-992 to get these into the hub bore. The fit is intentionally snug to keep the caps in place.
