Fit of Curt # 13408 Trailer Hitch on 1997 Jeep Wrangler w/ Smittybilt Aftermarket Rear Bumper

Question:
I looking for a 2 inch receiver hitch for my Jeep Wrangler 1997 it has a Smittybuilt 2 tube bumper. Please advise.

The hitches we offer for the 1997 Wrangler were designed with the stock bumper in mind. As long as your Smittybilt tube bumper doesn't sit any lower on the vehicle than the stock bumper would, the Curt # 13408 should fit.
You can doe some measuring to confirm. Measure downward from the frame member where the hitch would attach by 1-3/4 inches. This is where the top of the receiver tube would sit. If the bottom of your bumper is any lower than that, the hitches we offer for the 1997 Wrangler wouldn't fit.
