Troubleshooting Trailer Running Light Circuit that is On all the Time

Question:
2002 ford f150 with factory tow package. the running light pin on the 7 pin connector is always hot. where does it feed from

It sounds like the 12 volt accessory circuit of your 7-way is shorting out to your running light circuit and that is why it is hot all of the time. Check the back of the connector looking for corrosion and exposed or cut wire and fix as necessary.
