In order to pick out the correct hub assembly for a trailer you need know a few key pieces of information; bolt pattern, axle capacity, wheel size, and inner and outer bearing numbers.
Since we already know your bolt pattern, I have included a link to all of the hubs that we offer for the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. From there you can use the filters to narrow down the search.
When it comes to determining your bearing numbers, the linked picture shows you the typical location and appearance of bearing, race and seal part numbers. If you are unable to read the numbers on your bearings you can measure the spindle with a precision caliper to the nearest thousandth of an inch. The locations to measure are shown in the picture.
If you would like to send me an email with your axle capacity, wheel size, and inner and outer bearing numbers, I would be happy to offer a specific hub recommendation for your 1974 boat trailer.
