Replacement Trailer Leaf Springs for Tandem Axle Travel Trailer

Question:
Our tandem wheel travel trailer has a 4 leaf spring that measures 20 3/8 inch eye to eye. I understand it is for 1400 pounds. Is there a leaf spring with the same dimensions that carries a little more weight ?

It is not uncommon for a leaf spring to become elongated after years of use. One spring size we offer, 20-1/4-inches from eye center to eye center, may after years of use indeed measure slightly longer. There is certainly a chance that when new your springs were this size.
The link provided will show you the two double-eye leaf springs we offer in this size and both are rated for use with 2000-lb axles, part # e84SR. These are 3-leaf types but they can be used in your application as long as their width and weight rating are correct for your axles. You'll want to check your axles' capacity by looking at the sticker or plate on the axle itself and match up new springs based on the spring width, length and weight rating. A second link to all leaf springs is also included for you; filters on the page will let you sort the results.
You may care to refer to the linked article on trailer suspensions for more information. Please note that adding higher capacity leaf springs will NOT increase your trailer's weight capacity.
