How Do I Wire Utility Trailer that has 2 Yellow and 2 Green Wires

Question:

I have a utility trailer Im wiring up and my trailer has 2 yellow wires 2 green wires and one white and my harness has white,brown,yellow, and green how do I wire this up?

My suggestion is to test the wires for function with the trailer connected to the tow vehicle. You will need a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993 and a 12v power source, like a car battery. You can then probe the connector with the tester to determine the specific functions of the wires.

There's a good chance those same-colored wires will be tied together (I suppose you just have two wires for each side's turn/brake light circuit) but there's no way for me to know this for sure. Your safest route is really to test those wires by either applying 12V power to each of them individually to see what they activate or test them with a circuit tester while hooked up to the tow vehicle. You could also just try to physically trace each of them on the trailer to see which light assembly they lead to.
