Weight Distribution System Recommendation for a Trailer that Doesnt Allow Frame Drilling

Hello Tech support. I looking for Reeves, straight line wd and sway control was getting recommended by technical support, but my brand new TT theyre wont allow drill or welding on theres products frame, so any advice or recommendations for different brand? Thanks.

The Reese Straitline Weight Distribution system is a very nice weight distribution system, but the sway control brackets that attach to the frame have to be bolted to the frame. So you would have to drill to install this particular system.

A better solution would be a system like the part # RP66541 that doesn't require any trailer frame drilling at all. The snap up brackets use set screws to attach to the frame so this would be a great option.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

The tongue weight range for the # RP66541 that I referenced is 500-800 lbs so you may need a heavier kit like part # RP66542 which has a range of 600-1,200 lbs.
